Lance Taylor

Lance Taylor is a government and public affairs professional with experience in New Jersey state government, specializing in legislative affairs, public policy, and executive-branch operations. He currently serves as a Senior Legislative Aide to Governor Phil Murphy, where he develops strategies to advance legislation from introduction through enactment and works closely with legislators, state agencies, and advocacy organizations across policy areas including transportation, the environment, economic development, agriculture, cannabis regulation, and homeland security. Previously, Lance served in the Governor’s Office of Appointments, supporting judicial and non-judicial nominations and appointments through coordination with executive, legislative, and judicial offices.

Lance is driven by a strong commitment to public service, coalition-building, and effective governance. Earlier in his career, he completed a service year with AmeriCorps as a Community Solutions Coordinator at the Jersey City Municipal Court, where he expanded partnerships with community organizations and led outreach initiatives. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Business and Public Policy from The College of New Jersey, with a minor in Law, Politics, and Philosophy. Across his work, Lance brings a solutions-oriented approach focused on strengthening public institutions and expanding opportunity for underserved and historically marginalized communities throughout New Jersey.
