James Rosenstein-Hopkins is a community organizer and advocate with over a decade of experience running campaigns to uplift working people in New Jersey and across the country. He currently serves as a Regional Manager with the Government Affairs and Community Relations team at NJ TRANSIT where he works with local and county officials to improve and expand transit services. Prior to joining NJ TRANSIT, James was an organizer for labor unions, political campaigns, and movement organizations.
As a Senior Organizer with Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU), the largest transit union in North America, James traveled the country and won new contracts with record-high pay increases for thousands of workers.
James lives in the Heights neighborhood of Jersey City. In his free time he can be found cooking, training Brazilian Jiujitsu, and organizing with the Hudson County Democratic Socialists of America.
