Brianna Armstead

Class of 2025

Brianna Armstead is a dedicated public servant committed to creating positive change as a Board of Education Commissioner in Linden Public Schools. With a deep understanding of the district’s needs, she collaborates with faculty and the community to promote student success, working diligently to ensure that children always come first.

Armstead also serves on the National Haitian-American Elected Officials Network Executive Board as its youngest member, holding the position of Member-at-Large.

As Senior Officer of Events and Marketing at the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, she leads event sponsorship initiatives and maximizes marketing efforts. She is responsible for executing logistics for community engagement projects and large-scale activations.

Previously, as Co-Producer for the Rants and Gems podcast, Armstead booked guests, edited content, and curated social media. Her passion for storytelling also extended to her work as a Producer for Facebook Audio Rooms and Jesse Collins Entertainment, where she created original content and collaborated with talent and legal teams.

Armstead’s journey includes a significant role as an Associate Producer on the Tamron Hall Show in New York, where she produced engaging segments that garnered millions of views.

She was selected as a 2025 Fellow of the New Jersey Leadership Collective (formerly known as New Leaders Council - New Jersey Chapter) and is also a 2024 Leadership Institute Graduate of the New Jersey Black Women’s Collective.

A cum laude graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Media Studies, Armstead continues to make a positive impact in education, marketing, and media.
