Anthony Covington
Anthony is a strategic leader at Microsoft, specializing in technology investment and strategic orchestration, dedicated to driving transformative outcomes for executives and organizations. Previously, he served as a Portfolio Manager at Deloitte, leading critical strategy and management consulting engagements. His earlier career includes impactful service in the White House under the Obama Administration, where he advanced community engagement and development initiatives, underscoring his enduring commitment to societal progress and inclusive innovation.
Beyond his corporate role, Anthony demonstrates a steadfast dedication to education and community empowerment through his leadership at Rutgers University. He currently serves on the Governing Board of Trustees, including the Executive Committee, and as Vice Chairman of the Camden Board of Directors, advocating vigorously to enhance access to higher education for all students.
Anthony extends his passion for social impact through active involvement in several esteemed organizations. He is part of the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers community, a global network empowering young leaders to address critical local, regional, and global challenges. As the former President/Curator of Washington, D.C. Anthony spearheaded initiatives promoting education and thought leadership focused on civic impact. Continuing this trajectory of impactful service, in 2023 Anthony joined the Advisory Board of Lifting Our Voices (LOV, Inc.) in Atlanta, Georgia, supporting the organization's mission to uplift vulnerable populations through community-driven projects and civic empowerment.
For the past 14 years, Anthony has also dedicated himself to his local community as a volunteer firefighter, embodying a personal and profound commitment to the safety and well-being of his hometown. His commitment to leadership excellence was recognized through his selection as a New Leaders Council Fellow in 2022 and Council for Urban Professionals (CUP) in 2024. He is an active alumnus of these organizations and continues to contribute to leadership development aimed at advancing diverse professionals.
Anthony holds a dual degree in Business and Political Science from Rutgers University, complemented by a Business Management Certificate from Yale University School of Management, underscoring his robust educational foundation for driving strategic and socially impactful initiatives.
