Alysia Colon

Alysia Colón is a community-first movement building and policy development professional with 2+ years in the nonprofit and advocacy sector. As an advocate, she is dedicated to to driving systemic change by leveraging community outreach and mobilization, building social media awareness, and organizing collective campaigns.

Colón currently serves as the Policy Analyst at the New Jersey Consortium for Immigrant Children. In her role, she gets to advance her vision for social justice and equity through public service.

Prior to this role, Colón earned her degree in Public Service from the University of Pittsburgh. In 2021, she was awarded the David C. Frederick Public Service Internship. In 2022, Colón conducted research in Colombia on youth movement building and student organizing.

Ultimately, with her experiences, Colón hopes to empower underserved communities and inspire the next generation of young leaders.
