Aileen Merino
Class of 2025
Aileen Merino currently serves as the Policy Director at Stono Public Affairs.
Previously, she served as the Political Director for U.S. Senate candidate Campos-Medina, who made history as the first Latina to run for federal office in New Jersey. Aileen was also the Campaign Coordinator for the Middlesex County Democratic Organization (MCDO), working on municipal and county campaigns. While in college, she began her career in the nonprofit sector as a Programs Assistant for the Latino Action Network Foundation (LANF), where she now serves as a board member.
She also worked for Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman on outreach initiatives and immigration reform, as well as the New Brunswick Education Foundation Inc., supporting BIPOC high school and college students in New Brunswick through college readiness programming and career development.
Her proudest achievement was conducting research as a student worker for Rider University’s Center for Diversity and Inclusion, which contributed to the construction of the first-ever physical DEI center on campus.
